Who May Enroll?

Enrollment four the Foundational-Level-Diploma is open to all individuals who have a passion for music and personal improvement.  Generally, students should be at least 16 years of age, however; younger students may sign up with mentor permission.

How Does it Work

Students form (with their mentors) a course of study that lasts 6 months. The semester may consist of private lessons, library research, online classes, or all of the above. The mentor is there to make sure the student is on track and completing projects in a timely manner.

What Should I Know Before I Begin?

It's important for students to be performance ready when the start the "Foundational" training. This means that they are out of lesson books and are capable of doing live shows beyond the student recital.

Can I Skip Levels?

Students may enroll beyond the "foundational" level if they have substantial education and experience prior to attending JBSM. For more information please contact us.

What Can I Do With My Diploma?

You can hang it on your wall. You can list it in the "education" section of your resume. You can tell your friends about it and you can look at it as the representation of time well spent honing your craft (which was, for time immemorial, the role of a diploma).

It's important that we're crystal clear about this fact: while we strive to offer the best possible education, indeed, education that meets and exceeds other options in musical training, we are not part of any US-Government affiliated agency for accreditation.
